Multi Traits of Phosphate Solublizing Bacterial and Fungal Isolates and Evaluation of Their Potential as Biofertilizer Agent for Coffee Production

Exploitation of phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) and fungi as bioinoculants instead chemical fertilizers is known to promote plant growth through the supply nutrients. In view this, present investigation was planned assess phytobeneficial traits solublizing bacterial fungal isolates recovered from coffee arabica rhizosphere/ vermicompost determine their potential in promotion seedlings. They were isolated purified following standard methods. A total number 154 72 rhizosphere. Out these, twelve potent nine selected investigated. Among isolates, three them showed significant solubilize Ca3 (PO4)2 had traits, viz, indole acetic acid, NH3, HCN production N-fixing ability. The (RCHVCB1, RScB1.19 RMaB2.11) exhibited also remarkable tolerance ecophysiological factors such heavy metal, acidity salinity. These for further identification based on morphological biochemical characteristics presumptively identified genera Pseudomonas (RCHVCB1) Bacillus (RScB1.19 RMaB2.11). Similarly, with superior solubilizeation ability characterized Penicillium (RSCF1.19) Aspergillus (RCHVCF2 RLVCF2). Consequently, these efficient evaluated seed germination Petri dish trial under laboratory condition. results inoculated seeds (p≤0.05) differences rate vigor index compared control. all inoculums RScB1.19, RMaB2.11+RSCF1.19 RMaB2.11 + RLVCF2 significantly high (20.59%) over control (13.33%). Moreover, a single inoculation RLVCF2, RSCF1.19 co-inoculation mean root length (1.31cm) shoot (1.48cm) effective solublizers can be recommended field condition biofertilizer agent reducing cost required providing step forward towards sustainable agriculture.
